Description

This is a full day, 100% supervised, hands-on wildlife experience for 2 children aged 8-14 years.
Has a child/young teen you know ever wondered what it's like to work with wildlife as a Wildlife Rehabilitator?
Do they have a deep desire to help animals in need?
Are you looking for that perfect gift for them that is a meaningful and exciting experience they will never forget? 
 
Two lucky children will have the rare opportunity to join our team as a Junior Wildlife Rehabilitators, under the wing of Monika Melichar - zoologist and founder of WWS.
They will learn much about our native wildlife; what they eat, how they live, what their personalities are like, and will be taught, hands-on, how to feed and attend to the many orphaned and injured wildlife babies.
 
PLUS ** A WWS T-shirt, WWS sticker and a Certificate of Accomplishment will be given to each child as a memento of their day! 
 
PLUS ** We will issue you a CRA REGISTERED CHARITABLE RECEIPT for your winning bid exceeding $100!  
 
This wildlife rehab experience is valid for any day in June, July or August 2022.
Approx. timeframe: 9 am to 5 pm.  
Any day of the week.
Bring own lunch/snacks.
Closed-toe footwear a must (running shoes OK).

Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary is a 100% volunteer-based charity that rescues, rehabilitates and releases native wildlife back into their natural environment. Our motto is “Saving our Wildlife~One Animal at a Time" because Every Life Matters. So far this year, we have helped over 700 wild ones!

Since wildlife rehabilitation is not funded by any government agency, we rely on public donations and our own fundraising efforts to meet the needs of caring for orphaned and injured wildlife. Every dollar donated is put to good use.
