Description

L & N Beadworks, local artists creating beautiful off-loom beadwork.

This Cellini beaded necklace stitch is named after the famous Italian goldsmith, Benvenuto Cellini, and its origins lie in the late 20th century within the beading community. The spiral design of the stitch is inspired by Cellini's metalwork, and it's a variation of basic tubular peyote, where the placement and type of seed beads create the characteristic spiral.

Louise has donated this necklace as part of the Tour de Forest Studio Tour which takes place on August 2nd and 3rd.
