Kevin Dunlop, Coordinator of the Last Chance Project, dedicated 16 hours to cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing this piece, and he added in an original, handcrafted marquetry panel to embellish the top. This cedar chest has been taken from “functional item” to “stunning and one-of-a-kind art piece!”

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we've gathered a few items, each lovingly fixed, restored or refinished by our talented Woodworker, Kevin Dunlop, Coordinator of the Last Chance Project.

Kevin dedicated 16 of hours of work cleaning, repairing and then applying his Marquetry skills to a local Cedar Chest that was donated. The Marquetry feature is an outstanding depiction of a lovely canoe floating on the water! A lovely representation of the Haliburton Highlands.
