Marjorie Marlatt Watercolour Auction
Hosted by: The Oakville Art Society
The Marjorie Marlatt Watercolour Auction features a beautifully curated collection of landscape and floral paintings by Canadian artist Marjorie Marlatt, generously donated by her family. Marlatt is a charter member and past president of the Oakville Art Society whose work is a part of many private collections in Canada and the United States. You are invited to see these incredible pieces in person in our OAS gallery, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday evenings from 7 - 10 p.m., or by appointment. Through this auction, participants may bid on these all original pieces reflecting the changing of the seasons, which have been brought to life through vibrant colours, expressive brushstrokes, and an attentiveness to detail that invites the viewer into each scene. The paintings are unframed and most pieces are 22x30 (please see image description for exact measurements), on 300lb watercolour paper. Bidding starts at $50 and will rise by minimum increments of $10. Proceeds support the Oakville Art Society and its mandate to encourage art appreciation, inspire, and support artists throughout the community.
